Tequila Arette

 In May TRES is proud to feature our oldest and one of our most dear partners, Tequila Arette. We love this brand for so many reasons–it has been our house pour since our inception, it’s a great, family-owned product that truly delivers what we hope to achieve in hospitality–but more importantly, because of a guy we can all truly admire–Eduardo Orendain.

Eduardo has already done it all; he has been mayor of the town of Tequila, he is a knighted ambassador of whiskey in Bourbon County, Kentucky, and most recently has been elected to head the board of the CRT–Tequila’s government-run review for classifying agave-based spirits. But most importantly to TRES, he always has time to be here, pouring Tequila Arette, willfully or not, for all of our guests and talking about the distillery El Llano. He has made the time to be available for us every Cinco de Mayo since we opened, and we are proud to have him here for this 150th anniversary celebration.

This month we are uniting his premium line of Tequilas, Arette Artesanal Suave, with a specially-designed menu from our culinary partners La Cocina. The Arette Artesanal Suave line is different mainly in that they hand-select only the premium estate agaves that go into the mix, as well as their master distiller’s focus on creating the best product the distillery can produce. Think of it as the “reserve blend” of a brand with plenty of history and the ability to deliver a top-quality product for a reasonable price, like similar tiers in Napa wine.
